FIELD TERMINAL / HOW TO PLAY
How to play
Learn how Daily Red Pokémon works: pick a lead, battle with Generation 3 rules, save your official attempt, and practice with today’s squad.
Your daily mission
Take today’s squad of six level 100 Pokémon to Mt. Silver and defeat Red’s six. The squad is determined by your local calendar date; a new squad arrives at local midnight. Red’s roster stays fixed.
- Inspect your six teammates on the home page. Review their types, moves, held items, abilities and stats.
- Choose “Set as lead” on the Pokémon you want to send out first. Red opens with Pikachu.
- Choose “Battle Red” for your official daily attempt, or “Practice run” to try today’s matchup without changing your record.
- On each turn, choose an attack or switch Pokémon. A switch spends your turn; when your active Pokémon faints, you must choose a replacement.
- Defeat all six opponents to win. The result screen shows turns, survivors and a spoiler-free result grid you can copy.
Generation 3, one decision at a time
This version uses Generation 3 battle mechanics. A move’s type determines whether it is physical or special. Abilities, status conditions, held items, accuracy and type immunities can change a matchup. The type scan is a planning aid, not a damage guarantee.
You select moves and switches from the battle terminal. There is no overworld, bag or cartridge download. The game runs the battle simulator on your device.
Practice, saves and records
Practice is unlimited and uses fresh battle randomness. It does not count toward your official record, and practice progress is temporary. Your daily attempt is saved in this browser after turns when local saving is enabled. Return to the same browser to resume it.
Running from a battle ends it as a loss. Completing your official attempt records the result locally. Clearing browser storage removes the save and record; there is no account or server backup.
Keyboard controls
In battle, use the arrow keys to select a move and Enter to choose it. Escape opens your party. In the party list, Up and Down select a teammate; Enter switches when allowed. You can also use the on-screen buttons throughout.
Dialogs keep keyboard focus inside them. Escape closes a dialog when the game does not require a replacement Pokémon.
